Advocacy

Advocacy is the passionate pursuit of positive change. It involves speaking up, raising awareness, and taking action to influence decisions, policies, and public opinion. At HPRAR. as well as our state (NC REALTORS®) and national (National Association of REALTORS®) we are dedicated to advocating for the property rights; and homeownership, and building a strong community.  Explore our advocacy efforts and join us in making a difference.

HPRAR helps to protect the interests of REALTORS and their clients at the local, state, and national levels.

Here are some specific examples of how advocacy can benefit realtors and their clients:

  • Protecting the right to private property ownership. REALTORS advocate for policies that protect the right to private property ownership, such as laws that prevent government overreach and that make it easier for people to own homes.
  • Promoting fair and affordable housing. REALTORS advocate for policies that promote fair and affordable housing, such as laws that prevent discrimination in housing and that make it easier for people to afford a home.
  • Supporting the real estate industry. REALTORS advocate for policies that support the real estate industry, such as laws that reduce taxes and regulations on real estate businesses..
